This Refund Policy describes the conditions under which XIRA ("we," "us," or "our"), a sole proprietorship registered in the Republic of Korea operating the Lyne.bio service, will issue refunds for paid subscription plans. This policy is part of our Terms of Service.
1. Subscription Overview
Lyne.bio offers a free tier and paid monthly subscription plans (Starter and Pro). All paid subscriptions are billed on a recurring monthly basis through our payment processor, Polar (polar.sh).
2. Refund Eligibility
2.1 Full Refund (Within 7 Days)
If you are unsatisfied with the Service, you may request a full refund within 7 calendar days of your initial subscription payment or a plan upgrade. This applies only to the most recent payment. To be eligible:
- The refund request must be made within 7 days of the charge.
- This is your first refund request for the Service. We do not offer repeated refunds for recurring subscribe-and-refund cycles.
2.2 Pro-Rated Refunds
After the 7-day refund window has passed, we generally do not issue refunds for the current billing period. However, we may consider pro-rated refunds in the following exceptional circumstances:
- Service Outage: If the Service was unavailable for an extended and continuous period (more than 72 hours) due to issues on our end.
- Duplicate Charges: If you were charged multiple times for the same billing period due to a technical error.
- Unauthorized Charges: If a charge was made without your authorization (subject to verification).
2.3 Non-Refundable Situations
Refunds are not available in the following cases:
- Requests made after 7 days from the payment date, unless an exceptional circumstance (Section 2.2) applies.
- Failure to cancel before automatic renewal. You can cancel your subscription at any time through your account settings, and access continues until the end of the current billing period.
- Dissatisfaction with features that were clearly described on our pricing page at the time of purchase.
- Violations of our Terms of Service that led to account suspension or termination.
3. How to Request a Refund

- Include the following in your email:
- The email address associated with your Lyne.bio account.
- The date of the charge you are requesting a refund for.
- A brief reason for your refund request.
- We will review your request and respond within 5 business days.
4. Refund Processing
- Approved refunds are processed through Polar (polar.sh), our payment processor.
- Refunds are returned to the original payment method used for the transaction.
- Depending on your financial institution, it may take 5 to 10 business days for the refund to appear on your statement after processing.
- We are not responsible for delays caused by your bank or payment provider.
5. Effect of Refund on Your Account
- Upon a successful refund, your subscription will be immediately cancelled and your account will revert to the free tier.
- Content you created on paid features (e.g., custom domains, advanced blocks) will become inaccessible but will not be permanently deleted for 30 days, allowing you to resubscribe and recover your setup.
- After 30 days, content associated with paid-only features may be permanently removed.
6. Korean Consumer Protection
In accordance with the Korean Act on Consumer Protection in Electronic Commerce:
- Consumers may withdraw their subscription within 7 days of the date of contract or the date the service was first provided, whichever is later.
- If the service has been substantially used or if the withdrawal would cause significant loss to the business provider, the withdrawal right may be limited as permitted by law.
- Nothing in this Refund Policy limits or overrides the statutory rights granted to consumers under Korean law.
7. Chargebacks
We ask that you contact us before initiating a chargeback with your financial institution. Filing a chargeback without first contacting us may result in the suspension of your account pending resolution. If a chargeback is found to be fraudulent or unjustified, we reserve the right to recover the disputed amount and any associated fees.
8. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Refund Policy from time to time. Changes will be posted on this page with an updated "Last updated" date. Material changes will be communicated via email or a notice on the Service at least 7 days before they take effect.
